There is a lot of different pre k homeschool curriculum kit available out there in the market. However, how do you know if it is the one for your kid? You need to make sure that it has all the necessary things that should be thought to a Preschool so that you can fully prepare your child for it. After all, that is the very reason you would want to start them early: to give them a solid foundation that would help them get ready for when they go to school. To help you out, here are some of the things that should be included in it.

Math

One of the most common subjects and essential at that too would be Math. You need to make sure that your child has the necessary math skills that would help them later on. Teaching them what numbers are, helping them to count, figure out the different shapes, patterns, sizes and even helping them learn how to measure is something that would be great for your kid. It would help them out in learning things like knowing what day of the year it is as well as being able to differentiate day and night. Learning things like this would surely help them out especially when they go into kindergarten.

Science

Another important subject that you want to make sure your curriculum has would be science. For homeschooling in terms of science, the best way to learn would be through different hands-on experiences so you might want to look into kits that have them. You would also want to have books on topics that they can read, preferably those that have photos since most kids often learn through photos. You can give them lessons such as weather, plants, animals, color, sounds and even light.

Experiments inside and outside the house would give them a better outlook of what is happening around them, which is basically, science as a whole.

Reading

It would also be important to help them how to read as it would be great for them to do so. This would help your child to learn to figure out one letter from the other, identify their sounds, help them learn new words, and be exposed to the world of books. It would also help in promoting their reading skills and it would focus on developing their literacy skills as well as helping them have an interest in reading time and learning how to love books.

Visual and performing arts

This is another important thing that your curriculum must have. Visual arts would often involve drawing, painting, sculpture, collage as well as weaving. If you happen to be doubtful that it is necessary, you must know that these things help to improve the motor skills of your kid. It would help them out to be better learners as well. You would need some art supplies to go with it such as crayons, clay, colored pencils, and more. However, the benefits are amazing and you would surely love your child to learn more about things.
